In celebration of Women in Construction Week, we’re highlighting the successes of women working in the commercial construction field. Women have made significant strides in the construction industry over the past few decades, and today they play a vital role in its continued growth.
Commercial construction is a fast-paced and challenging field, and women have proved time and again that they are up to the task. From project managers to Superintendents, women are playing a key role in the success of commercial construction projects across the country.
While the percentage of women working in construction is still relatively low (estimated at around 9%), the number of women entering the field is on the rise. This is due in part to the growing number of women obtaining degrees in construction-related fields, as well as the many programs and initiatives that are aimed at encouraging women to enter the construction industry.
The Women in Construction week is a great opportunity to shine a spotlight on the many talented women who work in this important industry. It is also a time to encourage more women to consider a career in construction.
Their leadership and expertise are helping to shape the future of the construction industry, and we are proud to celebrate their achievements during Women in Construction Week.
